Sébastien PERU - CEO
Based on 15 years experience in financial services, in 2009 Sébastien Péru (Certified chartered accountant) set up P. & Partners, an office specialized in the Small, Lower & Mid-Market Private Equity segment.
Most of Sébastien’s assignments at the beginning of his career were carried out within fund management companies as an auditor with KPMG (1994). He then directed many financial audits of SMEs and SMIs for Mazars (1998). Sébastien started to specialize in private equity sector when he joined Ernst &Young (2001) after having worked as project director for the e-payment start-up company Blue Line International (2000). After a one-year stint in the United States, Sébastien joined 21 Partners as CFO, thus starting an operational career in Private Equity (2006).
In 2011, Sébastien co-founds with Matthieu www.pe-xpert.com, a community website dedicated to general secretaries & CFOs of management companies, which includes a fund administration software solution (SaaS type).
Professional track: 21 Partners (2006-2009), Société Générale Securities Services (2005), Ernst & Young (2000-2005), Mazars (1998-2000), and KPMG (1994-1998).
Matthieu CHERNET - Of Counsel
Matthieu has been a tax lawyer since 1998. He specialises in tax assistance for investment funds with respect to all their activities: fund structuring, fund administration, fund transactions.
Matthieu has been working mainly for private equity funds for more than a decade and has gained an extensive expertise in this area.
In 2011, he creates Capital Avocats, a law firm dedicated to private equity funds and entrepreneurs. He also co-founds with Sébastien www.pe-xpert.com, a community website dedicated to general secretaries & CFOs of management companies, which includes a fund administration software solution (SaaS type).
Professional track: Capital Avocats (2011), Salans (2011-2008), Taj (Deloitte, 2008-2005), SJ Berwin (2005-2001), Salans (2001-1999), and Andersen International (1999-1998).
Thomas de SOUSA - Associate
Thomas is a graduate of EMLV (Ecole de Management Léonard de Vinci) and has a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance – Audit.
He has followed comprehensive courses on the Private Equity industry, the concepts and the structuring of M&A deals as well as all underlying accounting techniques (consolidation, financial audit, company diagnosis and valuation, accounting and financial engineering).
Since 2011 Thomas has taken part in fund-raising operations on behalf of P. & Partner clients.P.& Partners will strengthen its team during 2012 in keeping with its development plan.
All P. & Partners collaborators have a higher education or chartered-accountant diploma. They possess an in-depth understanding of Private Equity and have a thoroughly experience one or several function in corporate finance.
